BOSS MAN
I saw the 7/26/94 show, front row...and continually yelled "Big Boss Man" to Jerry. I sold my Riverport '95 tix after the chaos of Deer Creek, I wanted to rest up for Chicago and I got screwed out of a ride...my beater car was real crappy....I didn't think it would have made it from IN to MO.
So, when my friends told me he plyed Big Boss Man that night, I was pretty damned sure,,,it was meant for that 20 year old head in the front row, the year before......or, just one of the universe's coincidences....i like to think it was for me.
Alas, i was only meant to hear it on a recording. I loved every moment with the boys...still get chills....nothing to complain about in this 5 tours I saw. Much love to HEADS around the world!
DJ Roach...if you remember the '94 show...gimme a holler gdtrfb75@

My Last Show/Big Boss Man!
Drove through the night from GA. Made it to MO by sunrise. Got there in time for the continental breakfast at the venues' hotel when I saw news stories about a platform collapsing during the night at a local campground. Ouch.. looks like some people got hurt pretty bad. Some kids held up this multi-ton platform for hours to keep people from bieng crushed to death, their efforts should not go unnoticed. Later, on the lot, I saw a guy in the back of a pick-up truck in a full body cast, pins coming out of his knees. He had a PBR in one hand and a tickets in the other. He probably was high on pain killers, but man, what a trooper!
Miss1/2, and Big Boss a real treat. It was a decent show, I liked the fact that the band was still curning out new material. Caught a huge golden aura coming of the audience on the lower lawn area, just for a second, and I realized that this is real spectacular to see, and I probably wouldn't see it again. Should have gone to Chicago!

Average (at best)
Pretty sure the Big Boss Man was busted out for the heads that were crushed/fell in the balcony collapse @ the big campground the nite before. I remember the Cassidy being decent, that's about it. This was always a rather strange venue...2 stars for the BBM

Good 95 show
Aside from the obvious SBD pitch speed problem, this is a good 95 show, as far as setlist and jams.

This could be the last time..
This is a pretty good show considering it was their 3rd to last! Show gets off to a strong start with Half Step, Jerry playing and singing very well in comparison to the previous night, and for the most part he manages to keep this up for the whole show. Samba In The Rain, and parts of Eyes, are the only major occasions where he starts sounding lost and starts with the dischordant playing. Unfortunately, the sound of this boot isn't so good - a lot of tape hiss from the cassette generation can be heard, and the first few songs have been recorded too high at some point, distorting at the louder parts. Which is shame as this show is quite listenable otherwise.
